Quality Technician

About the role

The Quality Technician will ensure that all cryogenic equipment produced at Chart Industries’ New Iberia facility meets the highest standards of quality and compliance. Working on cold box assemblies, pressure vessels, and related products, you will support the plant’s ISO 9001 certification and maintain ASME welding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming material for dimensional accuracy and quantity, rejecting defects and notifying management.
• Apply the Quality Manual to verify proper welding procedures and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Maintain material traceability records and oversee ASME compliance in manufacturing and welding.
• Supervise inspection and NDE processes, keeping detailed records for each job.
• Train and supervise Quality Control personnel and manage corrective‑action programs, including NCRs.
• Conduct supplier audits, manage calibration schedules for measuring tools, and compile Job Quality Assurance documents.
• Oversee pressure testing, weld mapping, and weld testing for all manufactured products.
• Maintain strong customer relations and report progress to the Plant Manager.
• Work safely at elevated heights up to 75 ft and follow all safety protocols.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial quality environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ASME standards.
• Ability to work at heights and follow strict safety procedures.
• Strong organizational skills for record‑keeping and traceability.
