Quality Technician – Food Safety & SQF

About the role

The Quality Technician will support the site’s Food Safety and Quality systems, ensuring compliance with SQF certification and related GFSI standards. This position works closely with the Quality Systems Coordinator and cross‑functional teams to maintain document control, CAPA processes, and overall food safety performance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer document and record control programs, generating routine KPI reports.
• Support and maintain SQF certification across the site.
• Manage the CAPA program, tracking corrective actions and reporting KPIs.
• Investigate consumer complaints, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Lead cross‑functional Food Safety meetings and implement new procedures or equipment.
• Deliver training and orientation materials, maintaining associated records.
• Coordinate with corporate staff on document control, complaints, and CAPA systems.
• Update site documentation for new suppliers and ingredients in collaboration with Supplier Quality.
• Lead GMP inspection and calibration programs and liaise with the site pest‑control operator.
• Communicate performance metrics and initiatives through management reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 1‑3 years of experience with quality and food safety systems.
• At least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Training in HACCP and experience developing HACCP plans.
• Knowledge of SQF or other GFSI‑benchmark standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
