Quality Specialist – Logistics Operations

About the role

Expeditors is seeking a Quality Specialist to support logistics operations with a strong manufacturing background and solid data‑analytics expertise. The role will drive quality initiatives, conduct root‑cause investigations, and use data to improve end‑to‑end logistics performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support and enforce logistics quality control processes and best practices.
• Investigate quality issues across logistics operations and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
• Train logistics teams on quality standards and process adherence.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics performance data to identify trends and inefficiencies.
• Build dashboards and metrics to monitor key performance indicators.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and present insights to leadership.
• Partner with internal teams and 3PL providers to optimize workflows.
• Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and process mapping.
• Interface with manufacturing teams to address quality discrepancies and improve production‑to‑logistics handoff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing quality roles.
• Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience with manufacturing quality systems is preferred.
• Six Sigma certification is a plus.
