Quality PPAP Coordinator

About the role

The Quality PPAP Coordinator joins Lear’s Quality team in Auburn Hills, MI, supporting supplier and customer PPAP processes and ensuring documentation aligns with business objectives. This role collaborates closely with management, program engineers, and suppliers to maintain high‑quality standards throughout product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Approve supplier PPAP submissions and maintain supporting documentation in the profile system.
• Manage customer PPAP submissions, update SQMS, and attend PPAP conference calls.
• Maintain the Supplier PPAP Bump Chart matrix and assist with PTR coordination.
• Support product audit reviews, capability studies, and Gage R&R studies with quality engineers.
• Update SQMS matrix for new customer programs and verify PPAP status for service acceptance.
• Print PPAP reports, track bump chart breakpoints, and attend weekly PPAP calls.
• Coordinate LPA assembly audits, update communication boards, and perform IATF internal audits as needed.
• Work with program management on EWO changes, supplier PPAP target dates, and breakpoint communication.
• Prepare and submit IMDS requests, ensuring timely completion across Lear plants.

Required profile

• Experience with PPAP approvals, documentation, and supplier coordination.
• Familiarity with quality audit processes and IATF internal audit requirements.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with program management, suppliers, and engineering teams.

Required skills

• PolyWorks software for CAD overlay.
• IMDS (International Material Data System) handling.
• SQMS (Supplier Quality Management System) usage.
• Gage R&R study execution.
