Quality Operations Associate

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Quality Operations Associate to join its Engineering team at the Houston manufacturing facility. The role supports the quality management system by handling quality events from intake through closure, ensuring compliance and timely resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, log and document quality events in Teamcenter, maintaining complete and accurate records.
• Gather information to define event scope, perform preliminary investigations, and assess impact and severity.
• Manage inventory blocking and unblocking as required.
• Track event progress, coordinate with cross‑functional teams (manufacturing, quality engineering, materials, etc.) and ensure timely closure.
• Perform triage and risk assessments to determine appropriate investigation records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school + 8 years or associate + 4 years).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work weekdays (A‑Shift) Monday‑Wednesday and alternating Thursdays, 4 am‑4:30 pm.
• On‑site availability in Houston, TX with minimal travel (0‑10%).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Teamcenter or similar quality management systems.
