Quality Manufacturing Inspector

About the role

Moog is seeking a Quality Manufacturing Inspector to support the production of advanced flight‑control components in Buffalo, NY. You will ensure that fabricated and machined parts meet strict aerospace specifications through precise measurement and inspection activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide CMM inspection support for fabricated or machined parts across multiple departments.
• Run CMM inspection programs and conduct manual inspections for simple to complex components, guaranteeing data integrity.
• Assist machinists with inspection equipment usage, drawing interpretation, and other quality‑related tasks.
• Perform precision inspection operations using surface plates, height gauges, gauge blocks, indicators and other gauging tools.
• Inspect complex parts with multiple features and interpret GD&T and engineering specifications.
• Maintain inspection equipment daily, including calibration and probe qualification.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED (preferred) with proven ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Minimum three years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment.
• At least one year of hands‑on experience operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), preferably Zeiss.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and technical drawing interpretation.
