Quality Manager

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. The role focuses on maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Manages QMS and ensures compliance through internal audits, external certification ISO standards and sourcing audits via Applied’s SSQA process.
• Develops, revises, and maintains quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
• Designs and implements testing and inspection methods for product and equipment quality.
• Identifies systemic issues and drives continuous improvement across the business unit, measured by customer satisfaction and quality indices.
• Leads enterprise‑wide change management to align regional units and global factories, reducing quality issues.
• Interfaces with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve quality problems and provide information.
• Coaches, mentors, and trains organizations on quality processes, reducing qualification cycle time and cost.

Required profile

• Technical expert in quality management with deep knowledge of QMS, ISO standards and related disciplines.
• Anticipates business and regulatory issues and recommends product, process or service improvements.
• Leads complex projects, develops execution strategies and drives change.
• Solves unique, high‑impact problems using conceptual and innovative thinking.
• Communicates complex ideas to senior stakeholders and influences decisions.

Required skills

• Quality Management System (QMS) implementation and maintenance.
• ISO 9001 and related certification processes.
• Audit planning and execution (internal, external, supplier).
• SSQA process knowledge.
• Development of quality standards and testing/inspection procedures.
