Quality Inspector

About the role

The Quality Inspector ensures that products and processes meet customer, company, and regulatory standards, including AS9100 requirements. Working on the shop floor, you will support manufacturing operations to deliver compliant, high‑quality parts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain quality control documentation to satisfy AS9100, customer, and internal standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications (ASME Y14.5 or equivalent) for inspection and production planning.
• Create and maintain inspection plans, shop‑floor documentation, and manage revision control for internal and external changes.
• Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in accordance with AS9102.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and assist with quality tasks across inspection, receiving, and related areas.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in inspection, manufacturing, or GD&T application.
• High School Diploma or GED; technical certifications (especially GD&T) are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102 standards preferred.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods; good vision and color perception.

Required skills

• Interpretation of engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Application of GD&T in manufacturing and inspection processes.
• Technical writing and accurate documentation management.
• Inspection planning and first‑article inspection reporting.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 quality standards.
