Quality Inspector – 3rd Shift

About the role

Bodycote is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector for its 3rd shift in Lafayette, LA. Working from 6:00 pm to 4:00 am, Monday‑Friday, you will ensure heat‑treatment processes meet customer specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hardness and other material tests, recording results accurately.
• Calibrate testing equipment on schedule and maintain calibration records.
• Conduct audits, weekly probes, and surveys as defined by procedures.
• Complete conformance certificates and related paperwork.
• Report any deviations, problems, or irregularities immediately to supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow all safety protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1‑3 years of manufacturing experience; quality inspection experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/specifications.
• Detail‑oriented with good manual dexterity.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or other shifts if needed.
• Forklift operator certification (must be obtainable and maintainable).
