Quality Engineering Manager

About the role

Moog is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to lead the Quality Engineering function for Electronic Operations at its East Aurora Military Aircraft Group site. This senior role focuses on driving product and process quality, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering continuous improvement across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Quality Engineers, promoting technical excellence.
• Set and achieve quality objectives such as Cost of Poor Quality reduction and non‑conformance reduction.
• Partner with supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and inspection teams to improve product quality and operational performance.
• Drive proactive quality initiatives, risk mitigation, and compliance with customer, regulatory, and company standards.
• Lead investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions for significant quality issues.
• Provide technical leadership and training in statistical methods, DOE, and SPC.
• Develop and maintain inspection and quality control plans aligned with product risk.
• Manage department operating and capital budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of engineering, quality, or manufacturing experience in a regulated industry.
• Minimum 2 years of people‑leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and customers.
