Quality Engineer – Manufacturing (Torrance, CA)

About the role

Moog is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Military Aircraft group in Torrance, CA. The role focuses on implementing and managing quality programs for complex aerospace hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and administer cost‑effective quality programs to meet or exceed contractual requirements.
• Support and drive quality‑related issue resolution to ensure program success.
• Assist with government and customer audits, providing necessary documentation and evidence.
• Apply AS9100 standards and maintain compliance throughout manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product quality in mechanical, electro‑mechanical, and hydro‑mechanical components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• 2+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the aerospace industry and familiarity with AS9100 is a plus.
• ASQ certification is advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AS9100 standards.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis, spreadsheet (Excel), word processing, and database software.
• Technical understanding of mechanical, electro‑mechanical and hydro‑mechanical components, as well as assembly and functional test methods.
• Experience supporting government and customer audits.
