Quality Engineer

About the role

ENERCON is expanding its Corporate Quality organization and seeks a Quality Engineer to strengthen the Quality Management System across a technically complex portfolio. The role embeds quality into processes, decisions, and deliverables from project inception through execution, protecting the company’s reputation in high‑stakes environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal audits and external supplier audits as a certified Lead Auditor.
• Review purchase orders, contracts, task orders and agreements to ensure proper flow‑down of quality requirements.
• Maintain and improve quality procedures supporting engineering and project management.
• Prepare, issue, and manage Corrective Action Reports, perform root‑cause analysis, and verify effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, procurement, and operations teams to resolve quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a scientific discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
• Six or more years of quality assurance experience in regulated or engineering‑consulting environments.
• Experience auditing engineering design packages, internal processes, and suppliers.
• Familiarity with standards such as 10 CFR Part 21, 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, ASME/ANSI NQA‑1, and ISO 9001.
• Prior experience as a Lead Auditor; NQA‑1 Subpart 3.1 and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certifications are highly preferred.
