Quality Director

About the role

Peraton is seeking a Quality Director to lead the quality management effort for the FAA's Brand‑New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS). Based in Herndon, VA, you will shape the quality strategy for mission‑critical aviation programs and ensure safe, reliable delivery of air traffic management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the Quality Management System (QMS) to achieve product and service excellence.
• Serve as a member of the program’s senior leadership team, influencing decisions across the BNATCS portfolio.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the QMS to meet defined FAA quality standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and FAA representatives, to align quality objectives.
• Monitor and report on quality metrics, risk assessments, and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading quality initiatives for high‑visibility aerospace or defense programs.
• Strong understanding of FAA or similar regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical setting.
