Quality Control Technician – Food Manufacturing

About the role

Join Ditsch USA’s production team in Cincinnati as a Quality Control Technician. You will help ensure that every pretzel meets the company’s high standards for safety, freshness, and quality, supporting both food‑service and retail markets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform tests on finished products, raw materials, and related items.
• Conduct daily Food Safety & Quality reviews and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Monitor product weight, temperature, packaging, and other critical parameters.
• Review production documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Carry out physical testing such as weight, color, strength, and packaging assessments.
• Support production lines and machinery, and investigate quality or food‑safety incidents.
• Verify labeling compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate quality records and enter data promptly.
• Assist with raw‑material and finished‑product inspections and calibration verification.
• Educate and coach employees on quality and food‑safety practices.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents in English.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and second‑shift hours.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Familiarity with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) principles.
• Calibration verification of measuring equipment.
• Data entry and basic math proficiency.
