Quality Control Lab Technician

About the role

The Quality Control Lab Technician will join the Quality team at Celgard in Charlotte, NC. Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the technician performs product quality testing for plastic separator manufacturing and ensures safe, secure lab operations during each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and physical testing of battery separator products.
• Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
• Document test results, observations, and deviations accurately.
• Support alignment of Celgard processes with automotive quality requirements.
• Assist the quality team with additional manufacturing‑related quality duties.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• At least 1 year of hands‑on laboratory experience or relevant Celgard operations experience.
• Experience with chemical/physical testing, analytical or R&D labs, and polymer resin handling is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO‑certified quality systems; internal auditor experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and solid math skills for unit conversions.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts and environmental certification requirements.
