Quality Control IV (2nd Shift)

About the role

Quality Control IV (2nd Shift) is responsible for inspecting purchased parts, materials, components, and equipment, and conducting final inspections of finished goods prior to shipment. The role leads cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and mentors less‑experienced peers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspection of purchased parts, materials, components, and equipment.
• Conduct final inspections of finished goods prior to shipment.
• Develop and apply inspection methods, sequences, and procedures.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, industry standards, and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and mentor peers.
• Document results and write detailed test and quality problem reports.
• Apply advanced problem‑solving techniques to identify root causes and solutions.
• Use statistical methods and complex precision measuring tools, including basic CMM programming.
• Develop and perform complex audits, approving or rejecting products for shipment.

Required profile

• Advanced specialized expertise in an analytical/scientific area to perform complex work.
• Understanding of how related teams coordinate efforts to achieve objectives.
• Ability to lead a team, allocate work and provide guidance to junior members.
• Strong judgment to identify and solve problems with little precedent.
• Effective communication and diplomacy when dealing with others.
