About the role
The Quality Control Inspector I ensures that components, sub‑assemblies, and finished products meet approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Working in a production, clean‑room, warehouse, or office setting, the inspector supports product quality, safety, and compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional inspections of incoming materials, in‑process goods, and finished products.
- Document inspection results and maintain full traceability.
- Identify, document, and report defects or non‑conformances (NCMRs).
- Assist Site Quality Management in product disposition decisions (accept, reject, rework, return to vendor).
- Collaborate on investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and audit participation.
- Support other quality projects as assigned.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 0+ years experience in medical‑device or healthcare manufacturing in an FDA‑regulated environment.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Certified Quality Technician preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and vision systems.
- Capability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
