Quality Control Inspector – Construction

About the role

Delan Associates is looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to support upcoming construction projects in the Aiken, SC area. The role involves ensuring that all pressure‑boundary and structural components meet applicable codes, specifications, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, concrete, weld visual, and pressure test inspections on components and assemblies.
• Review material test reports, verify ACI codes, and conduct positive material identification.
• Develop, follow, and update Inspection and Test Plans or Travelers.
• Prepare quality control reports, sign‑off drawings, and as‑built documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory officials to resolve non‑conformances.
• Approve and document site testing such as soils, concrete placement, grout breaks, hydro‑tests and NDE procedures.
• Manage punch‑list inspections and compile final hand‑over documentation for the owner.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives, cost‑of‑quality tracking, and corrective‑action processes.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in construction quality control, preferably with pressure‑boundary components.
• Familiarity with American Concrete Institute (ACI) codes and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills for documentation and reporting.
