Quality Control Coordinator

About the role

Louisiana Cat is seeking a proactive Quality Control Coordinator to manage and improve its ISO 9001 certified quality management system. Based in New Iberia, LA, you will work closely with production teams to ensure product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and maintain ISO 9001 QMS processes and documentation.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance product quality.
• Inspect final output, compare properties to specifications, and perform periodic quality checks on fabrication work.
• Collaborate with production managers and project teams to resolve quality issues and ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Train staff on proper quality practices and support the Production Manager in analyzing operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and maintain required certifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience maintaining a certified ISO 9001 QMS.
• At least 2 years experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management standards.
• Understanding of calibration procedures and ability to read blueprints.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes.
