Quality Assurance Tester (Remote)

About the role

Joint Strategic Technologies is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Tester to support the sustainment and modernization of United States Air Force and Space Forces human resources systems. This full‑time remote position offers the chance to work on mission‑critical software while collaborating with a supportive, veteran‑friendly team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain complex test processes to verify system functionality and reliability.
• Develop and run automated and manual test cases using tools such as Selenium, ALM Octane, LoadRunner, and Postman.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and recommend solutions to improve performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to apply Test‑Driven Development and Agile practices.
• Mentor junior QA testers and promote continuous improvement.
• Perform system performance testing and contribute to CI/CD pipeline development while adhering to DevSecOps principles.
• Document test outcomes, generate reports, and communicate updates to clients and leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on quality assurance testing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and drug screening.

Required skills

• Test automation tools: ALM Octane, Selenium, LoadRunner, Postman.
• Agile development tools: Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Jenkins.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud and Air Force Cloud One environments (preferred).
• Familiarity with Test‑Driven Development and performance testing.
