Quality Assurance Specialist – Supplier & Product Certification

About the role

The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures the integrity of our ingredient supply chain and finished‑product portfolio. You will manage supplier approvals, maintain specifications, and oversee product certification programs within a fast‑growing, B Corp‑aligned food company.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the ingredient supplier approval and monitoring program, including collection, review, and approval of certificates of analysis, food‑safety plans, allergen declarations and other documentation.
• Maintain the approved supplier list and related files in the Quality Management System (QMS), and conduct periodic risk assessments and document reviews.
• Support supplier audits, corrective‑action follow‑up, and evaluate supplier compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Create, revise, and maintain ingredient and finished‑product specifications, collaborating with R&D, Operations, Purchasing and Regulatory teams.
• Manage the specification review workflow, ensuring version control and stakeholder accessibility.
• Oversee third‑party certification programs (USDA Organic, Non‑GMO Project, Kosher), act as primary contact for certification bodies, and track renewal timelines.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in food safety regulations and supplier quality management.
• Experience in technical documentation within a food manufacturing or CPG environment.
• Understanding of B Corp principles and commitment to sustainability.
