Quality Assurance Inspector

About the role

Sandvik is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join its Rotary Drilling Division in Alachua, Florida. The role supports production of surface‑mining drill rigs by ensuring all processes meet Sandvik’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate and document Sandvik quality requirements across all operations.
• Plan, develop and conduct QA audits and inspections.
• Analyze data, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Review customer and frontline feedback, identify solutions and drive improvements.
• Maintain all quality‑related documentation in production.
• Coordinate and document calibration of tooling and measuring equipment.
• Communicate with Production, Engineering and Technical Services to resolve quality issues.
• Coach and train production personnel using quality findings and field feedback.
• Perform ATS final investigations and support warranty/field‑feedback cases.
• Comply with EHS policies and the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001).

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in the U.S. full‑time without sponsorship.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Drilling‑equipment operational experience preferred.
• Technical background with metalworking, fabrication, welding, machining and assembly practices.
• General knowledge of quality systems.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• Green Belt Six Sigma or LEAN certification a plus.
• Strong safety and quality focus, problem‑solving ability, and professional communication skills.
