Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join its aerospace manufacturing team in East Aurora, NY. You will help ensure that complex hardware meets or exceeds contractual quality requirements while supporting customers such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Airbus and Sikorsky.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in program teams to drive quality decisions and satisfy contractual obligations for military aircraft programs.
• Serve as Moog’s liaison for Government (DCMA) audits, program requirements and customer interfaces.
• Conduct quality engineering studies, recommend design changes, and provide day‑to‑day quality support to manufacturing personnel.
• Perform failure analysis, root‑cause investigations, corrective‑action planning, risk mitigation and material reviews.
• Support configuration control, audit preparation and compliance with AS9100 and other regulated standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Manufacturing preferred).
• Minimum three years of experience as a Quality, Manufacturing or Product Engineer in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting.
• Exposure to ERP systems and familiarity with government audit processes.
