Quality Assurance Analyst – Receiving

About the role

The Quality Assurance Analyst – Receiving ensures that valuable jewelry shipments are accurately unpacked, documented, and recorded in the GEM system. This role supports inventory integrity and smooth internal movement of high‑value items.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and unpack valuable packages, verifying that documentation matches the physical items.
• Open, inspect, weigh, and tag each piece; record details on vendor invoices and in the GEM system.
• Verify GIA certificates, stock numbers, and Bill of Materials against system data.
• Handle and pack jewelry for internal transfers, applying appropriate labeling and color‑code identifiers.
• Transfer job bags to QA or GA work‑in‑process areas and reconcile incoming merchandise with shipment records.
• Monitor packing supplies, request replenishments, and maintain accurate movement logs.
• Perform monthly physical inventory counts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Enforce compliance with company policies on property movement and storage.
• Provide additional administrative support as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably in luxury retail.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Graduate Gemologist or knowledge of gemstones, jewelry, and vault operations is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficient with MS Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel.
