QC Microbiology Investigator – ASPEX Facility

About the role

Alcon is seeking a QC Microbiology Investigator to join its Quality & Regulatory Affairs team at the ASPEX facility in Fort Worth, Texas. You will independently lead microbiology investigations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product compliance with stringent quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive deviation investigations to true root cause using root cause analysis tools.
• Identify, implement, and track effective CAPAs to prevent recurrence.
• Prepare comprehensive investigation summaries.
• Analyze and review technical data for finished products, raw materials, in‑process materials, release test samples, and stability samples.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to meet site objectives such as on‑time release and key projects.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement activities and provide feedback on non‑value‑added processes.
• Assist with chemistry investigations and perform process equipment alarm deviations and mitigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (high school + 8 years or associate + 4 years).
• Fluent reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
• Travel requirement of 0‑10%.
• On‑site work at the Fort Worth ASPEX location.
