QA Engineer – UI, API & AI Testing

About the role

The Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (MTech) is looking for a QA Engineer to ensure the reliability, functionality, and robustness of its educational software products. You will work on testing user interfaces, APIs, and AI‑integrated components that support mission‑critical programs.

Key responsibilities

• Create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans for complex AI‑integrated applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for UI, API, and performance testing.
• Validate AI/ML models using model‑validation techniques and tools.
• Identify, document, and track defects using test management systems.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and researchers to improve product quality.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a related field (or Bachelor’s with 3+ years of relevant experience).
• Minimum 3 years of professional software quality assurance experience.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and integrated systems.
• Familiarity with AI/ML testing concepts and model validation.
