PV Solar Technician – Renewable Energy Operations

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a motivated PV Solar Technician to join the operations team at its Fort Bend Solar Farm in Texas. You will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of photovoltaic systems, inverters, and battery storage equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PV arrays, inverters, and battery storage units.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues while adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Conduct site inspections, safety analyses, and participate in emergency drills.
• Maintain inventory, documentation, and warranty tracking for replacement parts.
• Operate and service electrical equipment up to 345 kV, including lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Communicate with the operations center and cross‑functional teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Assist with new installations, commissioning, and project‑based site work.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in solar, renewable energy, or a related electrical environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or journeyman certification is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
• Willingness to travel, work night shifts or extended hours, and lift up to 50 lb in varying weather conditions.

What we offer

• Base pay $28–$38 per hour (based on experience, education, and skillset) plus on‑call pay.
• 5 % annual performance bonus and 5 % availability bonus.
