Purchasing Manager

About the role

Laborde Products, a leading marine engine distributor, is seeking a hands‑on Purchasing Manager to ensure material availability, control costs, and maintain supplier performance across production, service, parts, and customer commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all purchasing activities, guaranteeing consistent material supply and cost control.
• Own and maintain the accuracy of purchasing and inventory data in the Acumatica ERP system.
• Establish, track, and manage purchasing KPIs such as on‑time delivery, price variance, and inventory levels.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies that balance total cost, quality, delivery, and reliability.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and ongoing relationship management.
• Identify supply risks and market changes, creating mitigation plans to avoid disruptions.
• Ensure purchase orders are issued, managed, and received accurately and on time.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Service, Parts, Engineering, Finance, and Sales teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply chain or purchasing leadership, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data discipline and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional partnership skills.
• Ability to work with operational urgency and resolve issues before they impact operations.
