Public Relations Manager

About the role

PaintCare is seeking a dynamic Public Relations Manager to lead communications, media relations, and public affairs initiatives that raise awareness of its paint stewardship programs and community partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute media outreach strategies, maintain relationships with reporters and influencers, and coordinate press events and interviews.
• Manage PaintCare’s public mural and community initiatives, creating narratives, case studies, and digital content.
• Support state capital outreach, preparing fact sheets, talking points, and briefing materials for policymakers.
• Collaborate on strategic communications, content creation for newsletters, websites, and social media, and assist with crisis communication planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, Marketing or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in public relations, media relations, communications or public affairs.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong project‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using media monitoring platforms.
