Public Relations Manager

About the role

Moog is looking for an experienced Public Relations Manager to lead external communications and enhance the company’s media presence. The role is based in the Buffalo, NY area with a hybrid schedule, supporting Moog’s global, multi‑business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current external communications and media coverage to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Design and implement a PR strategy aligned with business priorities and brand identity.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets, pitching stories that showcase Moog’s people, products, and impact.
• Develop press releases, media statements, talking points, and other external communication materials.
• Establish scalable PR processes, tools, and templates for media outreach, approvals, and reporting.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, HR, and business units to ensure consistent messaging.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field.
• At least 8 years of professional PR or communications experience, preferably in large or global organizations.
• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment.

Required skills

• Strong writing and editing abilities for press releases, statements, and external messaging.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining media relationships.
• Experience developing and executing PR strategies and rapid‑response plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management and message control under pressure.
