Public Relations / Communications Intern

About the role

Cambrian is seeking a motivated Public Relations & Communications Intern to help expand its visibility in industry and business media. Working directly with the Director of Marketing, you will gain hands‑on experience drafting press releases, pitching stories, and supporting thought‑leadership initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Research and pitch story angles to journalists and media outlets on a regular basis.
• Draft, format, and coordinate press releases for company milestones.
• Identify industry events and publications for thought‑leadership opportunities and maintain a content calendar.
• Research upcoming conferences and tradeshows, track submission deadlines, and assist with event planning.
• Report weekly to the Director of Marketing and ensure all external communications receive proper review.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in public relations, communications, marketing, media studies, journalism, or a related field.
• Available for a 16‑week internship based in New York City.
• Strong written communication skills and an interest in media relations.
