About the role
Sei Labs is building a high‑performance, parallelized EVM Layer 1 blockchain. The Storage team is looking for a Protocol Software Engineer to lead the development of core blockchain components, focusing on scaling the EVM and optimizing performance for massive data workloads.
Key responsibilities
- Write code for core Sei blockchain modules, including execution, consensus, and state management.
- Analyze and own end‑to‑end performance of Sei’s EVM implementation.
- Proactively identify, design, and implement optimizations and product improvements.
- Take ownership of individual and team deliverables, driving technical excellence.
Required profile
- 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
- 2+ years of hands‑on work with the EVM, building and scaling Layer 1 blockchains.
- Deep understanding of the EVM stack from execution to storage.
- Proven technical lead who can plan and execute large‑impact projects.
