Protective Intelligence Analyst

About the role

Anthropic’s Global Safety, Intelligence, and Security (GSIS) team is looking for a Protective Intelligence Analyst to identify, assess, and mitigate threats to people, facilities, operations, and reputation. You will work across the full intelligence cycle, from collection to dissemination, in a fast‑moving environment where the threat landscape evolves quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct all‑source intelligence collection and analysis to prioritize physical security threats.
• Produce clear analytical products, from quick‑turn updates to in‑depth executive reports.
• Investigate and triage concerning communications, online threats, and persons of concern using established methodologies.
• Apply behavioral threat assessment principles to evaluate escalation risk and guide case disposition.
• Provide intelligence support for executive protection, travel security, and major events, including pre‑travel briefs and real‑time monitoring.
• Monitor open‑source channels, social media, deep and dark web forums for emerging threats.
• Track geopolitical developments and sector‑specific threat trends relevant to Anthropic’s global AI operations.
• Build relationships with external intelligence partners, law‑enforcement agencies, and industry peers.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in protective intelligence, corporate investigations, or threat assessment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Excellent communication skills, able to tailor complex content for technical teams and senior leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with minimal oversight.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including 24/7 on‑call rotation.

Required skills

• Open‑Source Intelligence (OSINT) tradecraft.
• Proficiency with specialized intelligence tools and social‑media analysis platforms.
• Experience applying threat‑assessment methodologies such as TRAP‑18 and WAVR‑21.
• Behavioral threat assessment expertise.
