Project Manager – Utility‑Scale Solar & BESS EPC

About the role

EMC Renewables is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead utility‑scale photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) EPC projects across the United States. The role is the single point of accountability for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce strict safety, environmental, and quality standards, promoting a “Zero Incidents” culture.
• Lead multiple utility‑scale solar projects from design through commercial operation.
• Control project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and risk‑management plans.
• Administer contracts, manage change orders, and resolve claims while maintaining client relationships.
• Direct onsite construction activities, including work sequencing, productivity, subcontractor management, and material logistics.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, corporate policies, and Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship requirements.
• Oversee project reporting, cost tracking, progress updates, and schedule performance.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for project staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• Five or more years of experience managing large‑scale PV projects on the EPC side.
• Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
