Project Manager – Semiconductor Tools Installations & Upgrades

About the role

The Project Manager, Tools Installations & Upgrades reports to the Manager of R&D Lab Tool Installations & Fit‑up Upgrades and leads the delivery of semiconductor tool installations and bay fit‑up upgrades across the Silicon Valley area.

Key responsibilities

• Execute tool installations and upgrades to reduce project cycle time while ensuring safety and compliance.
• Plan, design, construct, start‑up and commission advanced R&D lab facilities and equipment.
• Lead a team of facility PMs through all project phases, from design to commissioning.
• Order long‑lead equipment, review engineering submittals and secure capital approvals.
• Coordinate with internal business units, architecture firms, Facilities Operations and EHS to develop and approve design criteria and obtain building permits.

Required profile

• 7+ years experience in semiconductor, thin‑film or related industry.
• Proven success managing installations of semiconductor tools in R&D labs.
• Prior management experience with strong stakeholder communication.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
• Ability to analyze data, manage budgets and drive process improvements.
