Project Manager - Satellite Communications Programs

About the role

CACI is hiring a Project Manager in Colorado Springs for its satellite communications programs. The role leads complex programs from contract through execution and delivery, works across engineering, contracts, business development and operations, and liaises with customers throughout the project lifecycle. It is a regular, full-time position with up to 10% travel across continental USA.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex satellite communications programs from contracts through execution and delivery.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, contracts, business development and operations so programs stay within scope and on schedule.
• Act as liaison between the customer and engineering so customer needs are understood and met.
• Build and maintain a strong program pipeline, working with customers on their future mission needs.
• Maintain data integrity, including project milestones, Salesforce opportunities and business projections.
• Manage multiple programs at once, covering budgeting, contracts, scheduling and risk management.
• Build strong, meaningful relationships with customers.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of related experience, including at least 2 years in program or project management.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; active TS/SCI clearance preferred.
• Ability to multitask and manage several customers and programs at once.
• Leadership, time management, facilitation and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Preferred: BS in a technical field (engineering, computer science, industrial technology or similar).
• Preferred: experience in satellite communications, satellite systems or RF communications, and basic understanding of satellite communication principles.
• Preferred: understanding of Earned Value Management, experience managing software programs, and experience with US Space Force, NASA, NOAA or NRO.
• Preferred: proficiency with the Atlassian tool suite and use of Salesforce to track opportunities.
