Project Manager – Rotary Drills Design & Development

About the role

Sandvik is seeking a Project Manager to lead R&D and engineering projects for its Rotary Drills Design & Development division at the Alachua, Florida facility. The role involves planning, executing, and delivering projects on schedule, within scope, and on budget while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed work breakdown structures, project plans, and schedules aligned with Sandvik’s Project Model.
• Monitor and manage scope, schedule, budget, and triple constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with Sandvik’s safety management program and ISO management system standards.
• Coordinate with product line, sourcing, procurement, production, technical support, and sales to achieve project goals.
• Prepare and present regular project updates to the steering group and senior leadership.
• Foster a project‑focused culture, implement best practices, and maintain project documentation and whiteboards.

Required profile

• MBA or B.Sc. in Engineering.
• Five to eight years of project management experience, preferably in mobile or heavy equipment industries.
• Formal project management training and certification.
• Experience with new product development and lean product development methodologies.
