Project Manager – IT Infrastructure (Houston, TX)

About the role

The Project Manager is accountable for planning and delivering IT infrastructure projects on time and within budget, following Shell project management standards. You will lead initiatives that include end‑user computing, hosting & storage, and telecoms components while collaborating with service providers such as TCS, T‑Systems and AT&T.

Key responsibilities

• Define, document and safely execute infrastructure projects, driving all phases according to the Shell Project Delivery Framework.
• Engage middle‑management stakeholders to align project aims with evolving business strategies and manage expectations.
• Prepare and maintain quality and risk plans, track progress and provide regular status reports to customers and steering groups.
• Estimate project costs, timelines and resource requirements and ensure delivery within agreed parameters.
• Evaluate technical options, make recommendations, and escalate decisions to secure maximum business value.
• Participate in developing IT infrastructure standards, methods, guidelines and control structures.
• Ensure compliance with Information Risk Management requirements and obtain necessary IRM sign‑off.
• Provide leadership to project staff, supervise contractors and support team members to resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects using established project management standards.
• Ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including business managers and external service providers.
• Strong risk, quality and financial management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on schedule and budget.
• Experience leading distributed, remote teams and supervising contractors.
