Project Manager - Industrial Electrical Construction

About the role

A well-established national electrical contractor with a strong presence in the Southwest is hiring an experienced Project Manager for its Phoenix team. The role provides overall leadership and management of electrical construction projects from preconstruction through completion, working with clients, field leadership, subcontractors, vendors and internal teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and profitably.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from start to finish.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and cost controls.
• Monitor financial performance, including forecasting, billing, change orders and profitability.
• Coordinate with Superintendents and field teams to achieve project milestones.
• Serve as main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts and project documentation.
• Identify project risks and develop solutions.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and other project correspondence.
• Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams during project turnover and execution.
• Ensure projects meet company standards for quality, safety, schedule and financial performance.

Required profile

• Electrical contracting experience is required.
• Proven experience managing electrical construction projects.
• Experience with commercial and/or industrial electrical construction strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of project financial management, scheduling, contracts and change-order processes.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and construction documents.
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client and project-team relationships.
