Project Manager – Global Engineering, Maintenance & Sustainability

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Project Manager to lead new‑build infrastructure and expansion/retrofit projects within its Global Engineering, Maintenance, & Sustainability (GEMS) organization. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage multiple vendors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with standardized processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage medium to large capital projects with accelerated schedules, overseeing scope, milestones, and deliverables.
• Partner with program managers to secure resources, define priorities, and drive project execution.
• Own program communication, clear blockers, and escalate issues as needed.
• Influence design and development of strategic processes across the organization.
• Develop, implement, and govern all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions for assigned programs.
• Maintain overall project schedule, track inventory, approve purchase orders, and report status to leadership.
• Travel up to 80% nationwide and work from the corporate office when not on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing medium to large capital projects in engineering or construction environments.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively and relocate near the corporate office.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
