Project Manager – Electrical Transmission Projects

About the role

MasTec Power Delivery is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high‑voltage utility projects from proposal through completion. The role oversees safety, financial, operational, and administrative aspects of large‑scale linear transmission, distribution, and substation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with business development.
• Prepare and manage subcontractor bid packages, pricing sheets, and proposal schedules.
• Lead project initiation activities, including subcontractor selection, kickoff meetings, and contract understanding.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are met.
• Allocate and monitor labor and capital resources, approve subcontractor invoices, and handle client billing.
• Identify, mitigate, and resolve project issues while ensuring compliance with safety policies and standards.
• Manage scope changes and change orders with proper documentation and execution.
• Provide regular project updates, metrics, and performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing high‑voltage utility or infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities, with experience hiring and developing project teams.
• Excellent coordination skills with construction managers, schedulers, subcontractors, and utility customers.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and ability to enforce safety standards.
• Demonstrated capability to control project budgets, margins, and financial performance.
