Project Manager – Construction (Rochester)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects for our family‑owned construction firm in Rochester. The role offers the chance to work across multiple market sectors, drive project success from inception to closeout, and grow within a company with an 80‑year legacy of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high‑quality standards.
• Develop and implement project strategies, goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Conduct site inspections to verify safety and quality compliance.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal team members.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.
• Identify risks, create contingency plans, and manage permits and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate contracts and change orders as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, teams, and regulators.
• Ability to work independently and make data‑driven decisions.
