Project Manager (Construction & Power Projects)

About the role

Louisiana Cat is seeking a Project Manager to lead power‑equipment installations and related projects in New Iberia, LA. The role acts as the primary liaison between customers, vendors, sales, and support teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee assigned projects from planning through completion, guaranteeing timeliness and budget compliance.
• Inspect finished Caterpillar power installations to verify design, equipment specifications, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to meet stakeholder expectations.
• Utilize ERP, project‑management and CRM software for accurate data handling and reporting.
• Review mechanical and electrical drawings, prepare and submit project submittals for customer approval.
• Investigate customer complaints, propose corrective actions, and follow up promptly.
• Assist in layout planning, budgeting, labor and material cost estimation, and change‑order processing.
• Conduct field surveys, analyze specifications, and resolve power‑system issues.
• Enforce safety rules, report hazards, and complete required Caterpillar training certifications.

Required profile

• Experience acting as the main point of contact for post‑purchase communications.
• Ability to work closely with commissioning and aftermarket teams.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality management and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of project‑management software.
