Project Manager – Commercial Mechanical Construction

About the role

Mechanical Systems Services (MSS) is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and medical gas systems. The role involves overseeing projects from kickoff through closeout, collaborating with field teams, general contractors, and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall project scope, schedule, budget and quality for commercial mechanical projects.
• Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders.
• Review submittals and ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with general contractors, field leadership and job foremen to support efficient field execution.
• Schedule subcontractors, oversee production and installation quality, and manage RFIs and change orders.
• Maintain project documentation, communication, procurement tracking and close‑out documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and support additional operational tasks as needed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience managing commercial mechanical construction projects.
• Background in HVAC, plumbing, piping, medical gas or MEP construction.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and field coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organizational, communication and detail‑oriented skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
