Project Engineer – Solar & Storage (Electrical Engineer)

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer specialized in solar and energy storage to support the development and execution of utility‑scale renewable projects from early concept through construction and commercial operation. The role is ideal for an Electrical Engineer with hands‑on experience in large‑scale solar and battery storage projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support across the full project lifecycle, from greenfield development to commercial operation.
• Lead technical due‑diligence for utility‑scale solar and battery storage projects.
• Develop engineering specifications, one‑line diagrams, technical exhibits, and supporting documentation for EPC contracts.
• Coordinate engineering activities during execution, including technical reviews, issue resolution, and design optimisation.
• Evaluate alternatives to improve project performance, constructability, reliability, and financial outcomes.
• Support EPC contractor selection by reviewing technical proposals and assisting in contract development.
• Specify, evaluate, and procure major electrical equipment, including high‑voltage systems.
• Integrate owner‑furnished and EPC‑provided equipment.
• Provide engineering support for utility interconnection, coordinating with utilities and independent system operators.

Required profile

• Electrical Engineer with experience on large utility‑scale solar or solar‑plus‑battery projects.
• Proven ability to work across development, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
• Strong analytical skills to assess technical and financial impacts of engineering decisions.
