Project Engineer – End‑to‑End Manufacturing Solutions

About the role

Seco, a global metal‑cutting and machining solutions provider, is seeking a Project Engineer to develop and deliver end‑to‑end manufacturing solutions from concept through industrialisation. The role combines machining expertise, digital engineering tools, project leadership and close customer collaboration to create measurable value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end manufacturing projects from concept to implementation, delivering quality solutions on time and within scope.
• Translate customer needs into practical machining, tooling, and execution strategies.
• Use CAD/CAM and simulation tools to optimise processes, proposals, validation, and project documentation.
• Shape high‑performing cutting‑tool applications and machining strategies, providing technical direction on tool design, programming, process optimisation, and digital solution validation.
• Coordinate sales, engineering, customer support and technical specialists to achieve shared project goals and coach colleagues to strengthen team capability.
• Build trusted customer relationships, partner with sales throughout consultation, implementation and troubleshooting, and lead customer discussions to develop tailored tooling and machining solutions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities, resources, risks and customer commitments while tracking performance.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead technical projects from concept through implementation.
• Strong machining and tooling knowledge.
• Experience using CAD/CAM and simulation software for process optimisation.
• Capability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage several projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication skills for customer engagement and internal collaboration.
