Project Engineer - Controls

About the role

The Project Engineer – Controls will manage product development from concept through production, coordinating engineering, sourcing, manufacturing and suppliers to meet project goals on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop product requirements, project schedules and milestones with cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate internal resources and third‑party vendors for flawless execution.
• Apply modern project‑management tools to keep projects on time and on budget.
• Maintain NRE hours, tooling, part and test costs; manage BOMs and engineering change notices.
• Run weekly project meetings and present monthly reviews to senior management.
• Adhere to OTTO’s phase‑gate process and ensure proper documentation.

Required profile

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical or General Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of project‑management experience.
• Strong people skills to negotiate and achieve results without direct authority.
• Hands‑on engineering experience from concept to production.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with excellent communication skills.
