Project Engineer – Construction & Civil Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support our Project Managers in delivering high‑quality liquid storage tank projects. The role involves coordinating construction activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring project milestones are met across all phases.

Key responsibilities

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor pricing, maintain relationships, and coordinate subcontract activities.
• Prepare AutoCAD drawings for casting beds and crane layouts, and recommend equipment based on site conditions.
• Conduct pre‑project inspections, verify site layouts, and assist with estimating during pre‑bid and post‑construction phases.
• Oversee concrete procurement, specification review, quality control, and post‑project analysis.
• Manage material submittals, approvals and lead times in collaboration with the Project Coordinator.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring alignment with schedule and quality standards.
• Coordinate crane operations, scheduling and communication with the superintendent.
• Travel to project sites for pre‑construction meetings, quality control and safety inspections.
• Track project costs, evaluate invoices, and prepare monthly billings.
• Support project closeout, documentation review and handover to clients.
• Assist the superintendent with schedule updates and detailed pre‑job planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in project engineering within heavy‑civil construction.
• Strong communication skills for team collaboration and client interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
