Project Designer

About the role

The Project Designer will develop detailed engineering models and drawings for modular, safety‑sensitive compression packages in a fast‑paced plant environment. Working within an Engineering Project Team, the role supports the full design lifecycle from concept through fabrication.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project engineers, purchasing, and fabrication shops to keep projects on schedule.
• Create complex modular compression models and generate piping isometric drawings using Isogen, applying ANSI B31.3 standards.
• Produce detailed design drawings for structural skids, auxiliary components, and bill‑of‑materials lists.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate, high‑quality units in a safety‑sensitive setting.
• Address issues with internal customers and incorporate feedback into design improvements.
• Implement and promote design guidelines across projects.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience designing skid‑mounted gas compression or power generation packages.
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards, pressure vessel design, and structural design.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and CADWorx.
• Experience using Isogen for piping isometrics.
• 3‑D CAD design and visualization capabilities.
• Understanding of ANSI B31.3 piping codes.
• Familiarity with P&ID creation and pressure‑boundary documentation.
• Competence with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
