Project Coordinator – Structural Pest Control

About the role

The Georgia Department of Agriculture is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Structural Pest Control Commission. This full‑time position will manage projects that protect Georgia’s agricultural sector and ensure compliance with pest‑control regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project timelines and budgets, reporting to managerial staff as needed.
• Research and recommend evidence‑based strategies and best practices for pest‑control programs.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee project activities that have a significant impact on the agency.
• Prepare documents, forms, presentations, and newsletters using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and MailChimp.
• Provide administrative support for the Structural Pest Control Commission, including meeting minutes, annual reports, and logistics.
• Coordinate open‑records requests, licensure, purchasing, records management, and inventory functions.
• Communicate technical information, rules, and procedures to industry stakeholders and the public.
• Assist with emergency‑management reporting when the regulated community is impacted.

Required profile

• Experience assembling project teams, assigning responsibilities, and identifying resources.
• Ability to develop schedules and ensure timely project completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff, industry, and the public.
• Familiarity with agricultural or pest‑control regulations is preferred.
